Types of Essay
An essay is a short academic composition. The word "essay" is derived from a French word "essai" or "essayer", which means "trace". However, in composition, an essay is a non-fiction book that deals with or discusses a specific topic. The essay is currently part of every degree program.
Each subject has special requirements for the essays to be written. Some subjects require longer essays, while others require shorter ones, such as B. an essay with five paragraphs. The composition is based on an essay with five paragraphs. There are seventeen types of essays based on requirements.
Types of essays
Definition essay
As the name suggests, a definition type of essay defines various things, ideas and perceptions.
Narrative essay
A narrative essay is a narrative like a short story. However, it differs from a short story in that it is written in an essay format.
Descriptive essay
A descriptive essay describes something that readers can feel, smell, see, taste, or hear what is being described.
Expository Essay
An expository essay reveals things in Details so that the reader can understand without complications.
Persuasive essay
A convincing essay is intended to convince the target audience to do something or not to do something.
Argumentative essay
An argumentative essay is intended to present arguments in favor of something. There is an additional fourth section of text that is supposed to present opposing arguments.
Analytical essay
An analytical essay analyzes something like an analytical essay in literature analyzes a piece of literature from different perspectives.
Comparative and contrasting essays
A Comparative and contrasting essays make either a comparison, a contrast or a both between two different or similar things.
Cause and Effect Essay
A Cause and Effect Essay lets the reader understand the cause of things and their effects on other things.
Critical Essay
A critical essay is written about literary pieces in order to assess them based on their merits or disadvantages to rate.
Process Essay
A process essay describes a process of making or breaking or doing something that readers fully understand and can do after reading it.
Synthesis Essay
A synthesis essay means synthesizing different ideas in order to pass judgment on their merits and demerits. The purpose of an essay is to explain a piece of literature. Poems, short stories, and novels are often written about
Rhetorical Analysis Essay
A rhetorical analysis essay assesses a speech or piece of rhetoric on the basis of the rhetorical strategies and devices used in it
Review Essay
A review essay analyzes the merits and demerits of a book and assesses it through a review
Simple Essay
A simple essay is just a five-paragraph essay written on any topic after it has been specified
Research Essay
A research essay revolves around a question of research that is intended to answer a specific question through a search of the relevant literature d.
Format of an essay
Generally, a simple five-paragraph has five paragraphs that include an introduction, three body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, an argumentative essay has an additional paragraph that presents counterarguments or counterarguments in the same sequence. However, at the end of this paragraph, both arguments are weighed in favor of the stronger arguments presented earlier in three body paragraphs.

Function of the article a Discussion or debate from a certain angle. A student discusses the topic from their own specific angle. Readers not only get a glimpse of what the other aspect of the topic is, but they also get to know the tone and voice of the student writers to decide whether it has reached a certain level. In literary essays, a writer discusses the influence that the literary work has on the readers on a certain point of view. Essays are also helpful in gaining public approval for certain political ideas.
